Just moved from Italy to Florida few months ago and my multi system tv will not work.

The "Timer Light" keeps blinking and I couldn't turn it off using the remote control. There is no picture or a sign of light through the screen and no sound. Do I need to do any configuration to make the tv work? Your help is greatly appreciated.
