Re[2]: There goes another one - 7 yr. old Sony KV-27V40 DEAD !

GRRRRRR Posted Dec 14, 2006, in response to:Kerry Upton

Yesterday my eight year old Sony KV35S26 flicked off and died. After eliminating all the common fixes (breaker, powerstrip, outlet). I naturally fired up GOOGLES to discover I was just one of many many with the same problem. I'm not a happy customer. I've been avoiding Sony products in general since their DRM-rootkit-atrac insanity. The one exception was TVs. I've always considered it wise to pay the Sony premium for what use to be an nearly indistructable TV (I still have a 15 year old 25 inch Sony that is going strong). I actually had plans to buy a sony HD 40+ or 50 inch TV during the after christmas sales. No way now! Self destructing batteries, blue-ray, PS3.
