I unplugged mine for about a month and a half, dusted it out, and plugged it back in, and it hasnt done it since. If you live near a shop or have an air compressor in your garage, make sure the rear upper housing is free of dust by using a compressed air gun... you may be able to use canned air but i dont know if the psi will get dust off all the way to the CRT tube and everything.... my guess was that on mine, dust was casuing a thermistor to overheat somewhere on the PCB board that sensed the temperature of the rear of the CRT, and after clearing it off, it hasnt died or anything.
