Need Repair parts for Sony TC-755 Reel-To-Reel

I have a Sony TC-755 Reel-To-Reel in need of replacement brakes. Part description and number: Band Assembly Brake, X-3534-123-0. Another option is to replace the felt-like material glued to the metal band but I'm not sure if that would work or what type of material to use. Help!
