Home | Previous messageI have a JVC model number SP-pwm505 surround sound system. I bought it about 2 years ago. When you turn the power on the sub makes a crackling sound and clicks off. The dvd player plays fine but I have no sound. Any Ideas?

This would with almost 95% certainty suggest that the actual sub-woofer amplifier has developed a fault. It could be the output IC itself or its associated components, but much more likely a combination of both. Its really a bench repair job. |
