Lens cap problem

hi i'm facing the following problem, when I try to record with my camera, there is no image at all and the information " remove lens cap" appears even though i have already removed the cap lens, all I see is an empty black screen, and it only records sounds with no image. my camera model number is JVC GR-D53AA it would be greatly appreciated if you could help me fix the problem.
