TV will not power on. Purchase date: 04/1997 Our television will not power on. When we hit the power button, the red light flashes on, the television clicks and the light goes off. What could cause this, and how can it be fixed? I have an electronic background, and have worked on televisions before. I feel that I could fix it myself if I knew what to look for.
