I have both the Owner's and Service/Repair Manuals on this model if you need them? Both are in pdf.

Battery may be bad if the charger blinks and/or is done charging right away. Try to check the battery in another camera or take it to radio shack or a camera store. The charger may not be working properly.

No! Try replacing the cmos button battery on the back left side under small cover. Has the camera been dropped?
