The picture on my JVC D22 is a series of colored vertical lines instead of a clear picture.

I turned on my JVC GR-D22 after it was sitting idle for about 3 months and when I looked through the view finder and also at the LCD, the picture was very distored. It appears to be a series of vertical lines instead of a clear picture. That is how it records too. The prior stuff played back OK but any new stuff is messed up. Nothing I seem to do made any difference. The sound is OK on newly recorded stuff. Just the picture is bad. Any ideas?
