error code 2881

Hey, got a question I have a Panasonic vdr m30and it is reading a 2881 error code and in manual it says it can't read disc may be dirty. Not the case cleaned and it still dosen't work. It works perfectly without the disc and have tried many discs, different types too. Can you help and it this an easy reset or something Thanks Rob
