I have a radio and static problem on a nutone 3303 in my house, it was installed about 3 years ago.

The radio has stopped working and there is a static background noise all the time. So I have to keep the volume down on the intercom. The intercom does still works but isn't the same as when it was new. The door chime still works. Also when I flip a light switch in the house the intercom make a quick snap sound. Can anyone help me on this? Any ideas? Besides replacing the whole thing.
