DCR PC1000e

I keep on Getting Get an Error code of 31:22 and 31:23 on my sony camcorder

Hello I own A DCR PC100e Camcorder Problem The problem is that when I put the tape in it 80% of the time asks me to remove it, and some times makes a slight grinding noise when it is recording which is abnormal and can be heard in the recording, if it does accept the tape then the counter on the top left of the screen goes up while in standby mode, and takes about 10sec to start recording, and when it does record the picture quality is terrible, when I move the camera about the picture becomes distorted, and the sound goes off in places. 10% of the time the tape gets chewed up, also when playing back footage from a good working camcorder, it jitters when there’s fast moving scenes, if could be that the camcorder is winding the tape to slow or something. Possible Symptom I think the problem is the tape once in side the camcorder, is not being wound around the head properly, I think a spindle has slightly moved which could make it spin higher on the head, or it could be that the sensor of letting the camcorder know how much tape is remaining is damaged, or it could be that the winder for the tape is not winding the tape properly. Please can you help me in finding out the problem - when i toock it to the camcorder repair shop, thay said it will cost about 200pound to fix because it is some sort of servo problem, am not to sure, i will ask them tommrow to be more precise. thank you, your advice would be very much apprecated Rojer
