FOR THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS I HAVE HAD COMCAST CABLE HERE ABOUT 5 OR 6 TIMES TO CHECK OUT AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM WITH EITHER THE TELEVISION STATION RECEPTION OR INTERNET SERVICE. WHILE THE SERVICEMAN WAS HERE AGAIN TODAY HE DISCOVERED THAT OUR JVC TELEVISION WAS PUTTING ELECTRICAL CURRENT THROUGHOUT THE CABLE TELEVISION LINE WHICH WAS CAUSING RECEPTION PROBLEMS WITH ALL THE OTHER TV SETS IN THE HOUSE. THE REPAIR FELLOW DISCOVERED THIS BY ACCIDENT AS WHEN HE WAS CHECKING THE CABLE FITTINGS LOCATED OUTSIDE THE HOUSE HE GOT AN ELECTRIC SHOCK. A SECOND CABLE TV REPAIR PERSON SHOWED UP AND TOGETHER USING A METER THAT RECORDS ELECTRICAL CURRENT FOUND THE CABLE FITTING LOCATED ON THE REAR OF THE JVC TELEVISION TO CARRY AN ELECTRICAL CHARGE. FOR SAFETY REASONS THEY DISCONNECTED THE CABLE FROM THE REAR OF THE JVC TELEVISION AND NOW ALL THE OTHER TELEVISIONS IN THE HOUSE WORK PERFECTLY.
JVC MODEL NUMBER AV-32F703 DEC. 2002 32INCH
PURCHASED AT BEST BUY LOCATED IN WILLOW GROVE, PA
THE CABLE REPAIR FELLOWS TOLD ME THEY HAVE SEEN THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM A COUPLE TIMES BEFORE WITH OTHER CUSTOMERS SETS.
DUE TO THE SERIOUS NATURE OF THIS PROBLEM I AM INTERESTED IN LEARNING HOW TO HAVE A JVC AUTHORIZED REPAIR CENTER CORRECT THE PROBLEM AT NO CHARGE.
HAS A SERVICE BULLETIN EVER BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS DEFECT PROBLEM?
PLEASE ADVISE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
SINCERELY,
D.FROMKIN
