I purchased two Sony F-717 cameras new in 2004, about the time Sony quit making them (they are perfect for my newspaper work). I used the first one for a year and then it suddenly seemed to be taking all photos in the nightshot mode---washed out, no color, very bright. I put the camera on the shelf and started using the second one. About a year later it did the same thing. Both failed toward the end of hot summers in Mississippi, and they had been out in the heat a lot. The one that sat on the shelf for a year now has even more problems than it had when it quit. Lenses and flash work fine. It's obviously something in the circuitry. I'd like to get both of them fixed.
