My camera is stuck in PC mode.

My camera is stuck in PC mode. I have tried to reset the camera by removing the battery after start-up but this does nothing. (Never seen anything electrical without a reset button) I can't find a reset button so resetting is out of the question. I dismantled the camera myself hoping to find a battery thinking that it might reset the camera, it seems to work on most of my other electrical equipment. However the battery seems to be soldered to the board to the positive side. I have since put the camera back together and get a normal screen for about two seconds, but the it goes right back into PC mode. Can you help me please!!!
