Hi, Unfortunately I do not know if BR-S422E is the same as BR-S422. I think that European models always end with an E. The recorder is S-VHS. Unfortunately the particular recorder that I have is not in good working condition. It would only be good for spares, I guess this is not what you are looking for are you? :) Regards, Stephen |
