My sony video walkman is giving a false moisture icon how can I fix it?

I used a cleaning tape and forgot to remove it in 5 seconds as recommended and the tape got ate,I removed the cleaning tape and all was well for 2 months then this moisture icion came on,at first I thought it was moisture so I put the GV-A500 in the car.Took it out and itwas fine,then theicion came back and is still flashing what can be done to correct this issue,please help.thankyou
