Can you fix a w-5 after it has been wet

My sony dive case leaked on a dive down in grand turk. It filled about 1" from the bottem with salt water. I took it out of the case and tried to turn it on. It tried and that was the last peep I have heard out of it. Thanks for the help. Terry
