my camcorder focus dark out when it turn on, some time it takes a while to come on.

if i play a DV tape in my JVC GR-D22U Digi camcorder it works well but when i turn it for recording nothing happen the LCD just dark and then for a long while it may start showing. what should i do. i was away for six month working but now am back it's not working, could that be the touble for it to not work, it use to work well and put it away before i go.
