Mistakenly, my remote for the television was discarded when I recently got optimum cable. I find that I need it. I was given a phone number for JVC which is no longer in use. Please let me know price of remote and send it.

I would like to know whether it is obtainable; if not, can I use a universal remote. I have a remote for the cablevision and one for the vcr. They don't work for the television problems which might occur. For example, I got the written language on the screen for all the spoken words. I couldn't get rid of it without having someone from cablevision walking me through.
