My clean, dry Sony DSCF717 suddenly has a scrambled viewfinder - nothing but horizontal lines in many colors.

It seems to take and save a picture just fine but doesn't capture what is really there - but rather a bunch of static and lines. Looks like there's a disconnect between the lens and the rest of the camera. I saw a similar post but wasn't sure it was the same. Is this a common issue with this camera? Can it be fixed? THANKS
