Wavy Horizontal Lines

I have a JVC 56 inch HDTV. I am having problems for about 2 weeks as I was watching TV the picture would go, with wavy horizontal line through the whole screen. If I turned it off for a while and turned it back on the picture came back. Put it would do the same thing after about 1 hour of viewing. Recently the picture went off completely. The on button would not turn off the TV. I unplugged it and waited a while, plugged it back in and turn on the set and I heard it go with the sound but for a few seconds and it shuts down, I have to unplug to turn off power to it. Do you have any suggestion on how to fix the problem. The set is only 2 years old.
