Yes, power issues seem to be directly related to the fuse marked F6001. It is the main internal fuse but splits to two others that might be the culprit. I have dismembered mine to find nothing out of the ordinary. I checked the battery and found it to still be good. Leave it to me to look over the obvious... the fuse!! you should be able to find a replacement for under $10 (radio shack or comp usa? ) and put it in yourself if you feel bold and think you can seperate the unit from it's plastic cage. I couldn't tell you why these units seem to be so notorious for shorting their fuses, but I can tell you that I probably overwhelmed mine when I attempted to fuse a mic jack on the av/s-video circuit board...... Won't try that again. Good luck everybody
