Problem with invailed "lens cap" message.

After following directions to remove condensation problems which was successful the playback mode works fine though when in rec mode it states that the lens cap needs to be removed even though it has been. Have checked all the ribbon cables to make sure nothing has come loose. I need a fix for this problem. Please HELP!
