Never-no kids in family. Seems so odd that this is the only thing wrong with the picture and has remained that way for quite awhile now. Have stalled the idea of having repair look at it-afraid they would do more harm than good.

Do you know how to get the v-chip off of the tv if you dont know the code? I have the same tv you do, but all the channels are blocked but I go into the menu and go to the v-chip and set it to off and unlock all the channels but is stil doing it I dont have the original remote.
