I replaced the capacitor

Tom Posted Aug 31, 2006

My TV did the same thing. turned it off and an hour later it did not turn on.

After reseaching this problem, I decide to tackle the capacitor so many people had good luck with. IT WORKED. A quick trip to Radio Shack for the 1000uF 35v capacitor and I bought some solder as well. I am not good at soldering but there is enough space on the board around the capacitor it is hard to mess up. I found the C926 location and made note of the Positive and Neg location. Other than the hugh amounts of dust accumulating since 1998 it was a quick job.
