JVC Digital Video Camera

Model # GR-D3OU The video camera has been giving a blurred screen or blank screen saying remove lens cap when I go to record something. Sometimes when I rewind and play back previous video then go to record again it will work. I have tried cleaning the heads, but I think it is a problem with the lens. Any suggestions?
