Hi I have the same problem but my case is a little bit different !
My cam works most of the time but often I got this screen that shows ""Please re-operate after pushing reset button""!!
The only way to make this message dissapear is to turn off and turn on the cam ! After 10 tests it works but how long does it work ?? I can't say... I think there is a mechanic problem with the tape or the tape player ...this one could not recognize the tape and ask us to do that !!But It's a very interesting and bothering case !I hope to have some news from anybody to tell me how to fix this problem for a long time !!
