Cybershot won't allow preview of pictures

I have a cybershot that i dropped from chest high on to a wooden deck. Now when I try to take a picture nothing shows up to preview. The flash works, it makes all the indications and sounds like it normally does when taking a picture but all it does is keep showing what the lens is currently pointed at. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks, Brad
