repairs

My camera was showing the message mentioned here and the area camera shop refused to even look at it. I bought another digital because I needed one for ebay and vacation but I hated to give up on my mavica. SO, i searched the net for mavica repairs and came up with this place....and I'm so glad I did. I don't have the tools to take the camera apart, or the knowledge but I did look inside the floppy 'place' and took a letter opener to the inside, trying to 'jiggle' any parts that moved. After doing this and inserting a disc, to my amazement, my mavica is working again. Thank you all for your comments on repairing these cameras with this message.
