I believe you already check your memory stick to other camera or reader to see if its OK. Assuming its OK. I easily fixed the problem by just cleaning the connector from the inside of the camera. I used a long slim flat screw driver. Just try to rub the shiny conductor with the tip of the srew driver. Dust and lint from clothes can easily block its contact. You can do the same on Memory stick. HOPE YOU FIX IT, GOOD LUCK.
