No input signal present using xpress 5,5 and JVC HD100u

I installed xpress 5.5 hd on XP Pro. My JVC HD100U is attached and I could control the camera from the deck in xpress 5.5. However as soon as I try to select a track in xpress 5.5, I keep getting the error "No input signal present." I'm using a firewire cable 1394 from the computer to HD100. Video taped footage in HD and trying to capture in HD. Any solutions? Thanks Brian
