Troubleshooting help for dead KP61HS30

Hello all, I have a Sony KP61HS30 that has just died on me. It just turned off (like someone had hit the power button on the remote). The only thing it does is the Standby light blinks 6 times, constantly. I have been digging around and found mention here about a common occurance of a flyback transformer problem with this line of Sony rear projectors...any thoughts, comments that may steer me in the right direction?

Warning !! My friends house burned down on new years eve. The cause of the fire was a Sony kp61xbr48 that was a barely used 8 year old centerpiece in the main room of his house!! The Fire Dept. Investigator's report stated the fire origin was inside the T.V. By the circuit boards is where it obvously started, and I'm not a prof. engineer. It just seems to be to damn hot inside of those cabinets! All speakers and projectors that I know about would not be inclosed in the same cabinet. And what kind of fan?Is there a fan on all projectors? How amazing wouldn't it be to have speakers inside of a projector! What kind of engineering is that mix?? There is deffinately a problem with how hot projection tv's get!!Or maybe sony will fight till the bitter end that SONY engineered a home TV that would give it's owners many years of vewing pleasure. Hey Sony, any of you guys read any of these posts I'm seeing on the internet?
