Sony KV-32XBR35 - Losing picture

This TV is 13 years old and has always been perfect. A few days ago the picture went blank (with full sound) and there was only faint green, blue and pink vertical lines. The TV was left off overnight and the next morning it worked fine again. Two days later it has started again. If I perform the wack test, I can get the picture to appear for a few minutes before it goes erratic then blank. any ideas what is casuing this and what it may cost to repair. This has been a great TV and i would like to keep it. thanks Greg
