Sony MP4 player not showing full drive space after partition failed.

I was trying to creat partition on my 1GB sony MP4 player. but the software that i was using to creat the partition was closed meanwhile. After this player capacity is showing only 470 MB. Please tell me how to recover lost partition. Thanks in advance.
