TV won't work

We had a severe thunderstorm last night; woke me up around 2:00AM. The TV was not on, but not unplugged from the wall. When I went to turn on the TV this morning......nothing! All other applicances are working. What gives? If I plug in a different appliance in the same outlet, it works. What can I do to fix the problem??? This is not an old TV and it worked perfectly until this morning. Thanks, pfg
