I need either adriver or a clue to edit and record my videos with my computer

I have been trying to record my videos in my computer using the serial port connection, bt the 2 programs that came with the camera (JLIP) are useless so far. One only captures still photos, and the other does not play the video sequence. Tried with Ulead Video Studio but no luck, it does not recognize the cmera. Need a driver maybe? Then why it does not come with the equipment and seems I must buy it from somewhere else? I would very much appreciuate some guidance and help. Many thanks. Diego
