Panasonic CQ-C7103U Deck is giving a "E3" error

I just got a Panasonic CQ-C7103U Deck for my car and out of the box on the CD player it gives me a E3 error. It also shows the cd icon that theres a cd in it when theres not, and everytime I open the door it keeps trying to eject a cd thats no there. Is there anyway to try and fix this or am I just gonna have to send it back?
