Did you ever get the battery compartment to your Sony W1 installed. I have the same latching problem and tried to remove the compartment but it didn't come right out and I am afraid to force anything too much.

  I have the same problem and have ordered and received the replacement battery holder, but it came without any installation instructions. Did you receive instructions? If yes, can you please send me a copy.

    We're you able to replace the latched door on the battery compartment of your sony W1 camera? If so, what is the trick to getting the old door off? Also where do you get the replacement parts from? Thanks, Kevin
