Re: JVC service or questions

EJ Posted Jul 07, 2006, in response to:Stacy Sample

We have had so many problems with our big screen JVC (HD-52z575PA). Not counting the first recall (ballist),Technicans have replaced 3 lamps, a ballist assembly board, fixed a connector seeded wrong, and now have a Light Engine and Digital board on order and are awaiting parts. This is all less than a years timeframe. Thankfully we purchased the $400 warranty from Sears, (the lamps cost $199 each) and we will be installing our 4th lamp next week when it arrives with the other parts. So $199 times 4 lamps is almost $800; the warranty has already paid itself! If these last attempts in installing new parts fail, we will look into the No-Lemon guarantee offered in our Master Protection Agreement. Over 3 service calls in a month's time of our tv working sporadically and missing work for home service calls had been disappointing and unacceptable. Such a shame for something we paid so much for doesnt work properly. thanks.
