Not viewing/recording properly

I have a JVC GR-AXM250U Camcorder. It's about 3 years old. Recently when I power it on, When looking through the viewfinder as well as the LCD screen, everything that I am looking at is all squiggley. I can't pick out anything that I am looking at. It also records this way. Any suggestions? Nancy
