mini DV camera wanted

I live on the Thai Burma border and work in a refugee camp for Karen Children. I attended film school in Melbourne in late 90's. I want to purchase a reasonably priced camera to document the work we are doing in Thailand. Interested in hearing from anyone that might have a camera for sale suitable for the conditions and that can record broadcast quality or near to it.
