Hi! If under warranty, get it repaired. If not and you don't want to spend lot of money..... Connect a stereo amp from your audio outputs on the TV back. You may have a choice of regular audio out and varaible out. If you connect the amp to variable the volume of the amp is still controlled by the TV remote. (you must have the amps volume up somewhat for this to work! How will this sound? Much better than the TV sound (by far) * you have to connect speakers to the amp of course and don't put them too close to the TV sides as the magnets in the speakers will distort the TV color. You may want to get smaller, special shielded speakers and put them close to or on the TV? It's at this time you may want to consider surround sound and then you will be asking yourself, why didn't I do this before? *** ususaly even though the TV loses sound, the sound (audio) outputs in the TV rear still work....If those audio connections are inoperative you can still use a VCR as the tuner and get the audio out of the VCR rear connections!:-)
