I got a the same error my camera would not focus we use it for work and I was going to go buy a new camera today I wacked it on the desk a few times now it works fine. I find this an ironic way to fix electronic equipment. I sincerely doubt Sony would recommend this Thanks for the posts I would not have thought to wack my camera to get it to work.
