SONY G88 doesn't see CD in tray

new problem.can't find disc to play when loaded.

Sony micro system G88 has all functions but shows "no CD in tray" when it is loaded in all 3 tray slots. Searches and turns but doesn't recognize any normal CD. This is a new problem. Any way to test to see if the laser is out?

Have the same problem on G88. And I also need it's user manual, but can't find it in the Internet. Anyone knows?
