Hi Michael,
I have a VPL-X1000U. I don't know if the parts are compatible. If you have a part number, I can check to see if mine is the same. When you say the top panel, do you mean the top part of the outer casing or the soft-touch buttons and underlying circuit board?

I am talking about the outer casing itself. One of our VPL-30's came back from a rental with this part cracked and so we're looking to replace. I looked at the VPL-X1000U and it doesn't appear that the parts are the same shape, so don't bother looking up the part number. If you find a VPL-30 or a VPL-31, let me know at michael.duda@stagingtechniques.com
