Hello Eric, Thanks for the prompt, informative response. I really appreciate it. I assume you have acces to the manual for this TV since you had the info. I have tried to find/buy a manual for this set but they are not available and JVC claims no parts are available for the set... and even said this just a few years after it was purchased. The TV was a great set and had a fantastic picture... so I hate to just scrap it. It is ironic you mention tritronicsinc.com.... I have emailed these people three times for a quote/availability and can not even get a response. I will try partstore.com. I originally looked at the solder connection on LA7843 (Vert IC) and definitely found cracked, poor solder joints. I cleaned/resoldered the connections but it did not fix the issue.... I was surprised. Looks like there were multiple issues with this unit of poor IC solder and the "metal" heat sink cooking the Cap and wiping out the rest. I assume I must have the second issue at this point. Thanks again..
