I have just removed the back from my Sony rear projection TV KP-41S4U as I have a known problem with the screen momentarily switching off, the input displays and then continues to do this making it look like it's flashing - it only happens when I have a bright white or flasing image displayed. I thought someone had turned the brightness up, so i checked and turned it down a tad and it helped, then i had to repeat this 4 more times as it kept on doing the same thing. The TV is now so dark that it's unwatchable so I thought I'd have a go at seeing what there was to service in the back of it. Apat from a ton of dust and crap all over the board (why doen't they cover these better???) - I have no idea what could be the problem. Is there a particulat component failure that this is caused by?
