Model # LTZ32SX5. Is this model future proof when sky indtroduce their new "high definition" picture?

The television itself has a HDMI slot to plug a lead in to. I have done a bit of research and the resolution appears to be high enough. However, does the TV have all the anti pirating devices, and if not, can they be fitted? The guy in the shop when I purchased the TV (October 2005) said that it was a very advanced TV and was one of the best on the market. Is this actually the case? Many thanks. Gordon Leslie
