bought a replacement cardride and needle for $50, ortofon model # 310U,
needledoctor.com hope this helps!
I have a different prob. I'm hookng up to Sony SAVA D900 home entertainment system and I can't get much volume althought it is clear.
I need to turn up to max, level 45, to hear it.

I just picked one up on the street, I mean at the curb.
It has a Stanton D72E installed. Googled it and there seems to be lots of them out there.
